Cassie Cohen and Allie Corripio are giving it a good shake!
Brent Ford reports
“Can you believe this?,” asks Rob Mason.
“I don’t think we’ve ever seen this in Coast 2 Kosci for first, second and third.”
Hear from Dillon Rinn. He’s a previous finisher who was accepted into this race but was injured so he is crewing for Benn.
Matt Pilley through Charlotte Pass. He’s second-placed male overall fourth on the race.
There is absolutely nothing in this women’s race as Cassie Cohen leads Allie Corripio through Charlotte Pass.
The women’s race is tight.
But how tight?
This gives you an idea in Rob’s latest update.
Rob and Brent take us through the field going up the road towards Perisher and Charlotte’s Pass.
Our women’s leader Cassie Cohen has gone though Jindabyne at 2:08am. This is a pace well under a 30h finish and possibly on a course record!
Allie Corripo is 20 min back, also on a sub 30h finish pace.
Only 3 women have finished the Summit course in under 30 hours in the history of the race! Exciting times for the women’s field this year!
Our male race leader Rob Ormbsy has gone through Jindabyne just before 2am. He’s closely follwed by Benn Coubrough, less than 15 min behind, then Kay Bretz and Matt Pilley in another 15 min

Benn Coubrough and Kay Bretz have just gone through also,
within 100m of one another.
Robert Ormsby is 16km out from the important milestone of Dalgety. He’s holding his lead as we head into night one.
Watch Brent for all the details.
The race is heating up going into Dalgety with first female Cassie Cohen hot on the heels of Benn Coubrough.
Check out some of the kit the crew have. Previous Coast to Kosci finishers Alan Wheat showing Rob a prized possession in a crew vehicle.
After a tough day in the heat, he is sitting in sixth place, behind Nick Bamford with Matt Pilley not far ahead in fourth.
Nick Bamford talks about what the core values of Coast 2 Kosci — community, resilience and humility — mean to him.
“To rn this race you’ve got to have community …
“Resilience kind of goes without saying.
“But you can’t get into this race or have a crack at it without humility because it will kick you in the arse!”

This is roughly the 100km mark.
