Flaming hot runners take a bite of Big Jack
As the mercury rises, Rob gives an update on what Big Jack means for this year’s race. Allie Corripio and Ben Coubrough started ploughing up Big Jack at 11:15am. Robert Ormsby remains the the race leader and was almost at the top of Big Jack at about a quarter of an hour to midday.

Look who is already through the 30km mark
Two women are leading the race in Allie Corripio and Chantelle Smith. Both have strong pedigrees. Allie was the second female at this year’s Buffalo Stampede Bright Ultra 100km. Chantelle ranked no. 2 lady at the fabled Tarawera 100 mile held across the ditch.

Ben Bailey and Jenny White through Towamba. Ben is a C2K veteran, having finished the race last year. Jenny is on debut. She’s no stranger to gnarly distances though — she clocked 217km wearing the green and gold at the IAU 24hr Asia & Oceania champs held in Canberra this year.
